Our foals have started to arrive! First
was Vámonos, a gorgeous bay sabino Swedish
Warmblood colt born on April 19, by the elite Hanoverian stallion, Viva Voltaire
(Voltaire x Grannus x Argentinus), out of our lovely Premium buckskin Swedish
mare, Clair de Lune. Vámonos is
Mr. Personality +++ and absolutely loves attention, handling and
people. If he could, he'd cuddle up on your couch! Vámonos
is for sale.
Our next foal was Cairo,
born 16 days late on June 4. This is Catapult's
first foal from our other premium mare, Jamaica.
Catapult did have another foal born a few weeks early (the mare foaled 3 weeks
early) - a gorgeous bay Swedish Warmblood x TB colt.
Still
Cookin'... Travola
(imported Prok
Sport chestnut sabino Dutch
Warmblood) is in foal to Catapult
for
a July 12, 2010 Swedish Warmblood foal. Waltilde
(imported bay sabino Dutch
Warmblood) is in foal to Catapult
for
a July 20, 2010 Swedish Warmblood foal. Both
foals will be offered for sale.
There
is still time to submit name suggestions for our annual Name
the Foal Competition. There will be 5 winners
next year that will receive a $100 Gift Certificate to a tack store of
their choice.
Catapult
(2006) has completed 3 months of professional dressage training over the winter
months, and is now in full training with Grand Prix show jumper
Kevin Maxie,
who will hopefully take Catapult to a few Jumper Development Series
(4-year-olds at 1.0m) competitions this summer. At the training
stable, he has been affectionately nicknamed "Pussycat" by his
admirers due to his unflappable and gentle demeanor. Comments
from
Kevin: "<Catapult> actually surprised me with his
willingness and enthusiasm jumping. This horse has no shortage of
jump in him".
Catapult
will attend the Swedish Warmblood (SWANA) stallion inspection this fall,
and hopefully GOV (location dependant). We
have a limited supply of frozen semen from Catapult. He is EVA
negative, and his post-thaw progressive motility is very good at 45%
(average is ~40%). Contact us if you are
interested in breeding to Catapult. Approved mares only - please send
a confirmation photo of your mare and a copy of her papers (if available).
We
also have a new video of Medallion (2002) competing
in the low jumper ring at CNE in August 2009.
We are pleased to
introduce a new mare to our select breeding and
competition program:

received this same esteemed ranking in 2008 as well.
In the 2009
show season, Viva Voltaire,
who is the sire of Volaré
and Vámonos, proved to be a sire of champions in
