Miss
Quidam is a super honest, gentle and easy-going mare, with an outstanding pedigree.
She
was used as a schooling horse for a few years and will be
shown in the Hunter/Jumper ring in 2010 before joining our broodmare
band. She is such a kind mare that she is currently being used as
the babysitter for our weanlings and is the only horse we own that will
always come to the gate for attention.

Her sire is one of the most well-known stallions of this era,
Quidam
de Revel, who among other accomplishments assisted the French Olympic Team with a
Team Bronze Medal in the
Olympic Games in Barcelona, and was 4th Individually with Hervé Godignon.
He placed many times in International competitions
with approximately
40
top 10 placings in Grand Prix jumping competitions. At least 48 offspring of Quidam
de Revel are currently competing on the French
circuit with an ISO of 140 or above.
Miss
Quidam's grandsire, Saskan,
was successful in show jumping up to advanced Level M and consistently
placed in the USEF Hunter Sires Rankings in 2004, 2006, and 2008. At
the 1994 Hannoveraner Körung in Oldenburg, Saskan placed 14th in Dressage
with an index of 106.33 and 5th in Jumping with an index of 125.90. He placed 6th overall out of 36 stallions with 120.90 points.
Saskan's 2008 Jumping Index was 131 with a reliability of 80%. Saskan
has sired several successful jumpers including Scatman (placed third in
the 2009 test for Junior Riders with Maja Friberg of Sweden), Point Guard
(with Olin Armstrong won the $25,000
Pre-Green Invitational at HITS Culpeper, VA USA) and San Remo
(competed at 1.35m with Belgian rider Kristof Cleeren).
Great
grandsire Sandro (Sandro Z) was one of the most successful breeding
stallions in both dressage and show jumping, and was also one of the
first stallions to prove himself in the sport with a career lifetime winnings
of DM 55,000. Sandro Z's progeny have proven jumping aptitude and
have earned their sire breed values of In the survey of the world's top 75 jumping
sires,
Sandro ranked 37th with 8 CSI winners including World Cup Champion, Sandro
Boy. Sandro was the best son of his sire, Sacramento Song, a top
jumper sire himself whose progeny earnings was DM 696,000 by 1990. Sacramento Song had 31 competitive progeny, 29 of which were show
jumpers.
Further
in Miss Quidam's pedigree we find the performance Thoroughbred Wiesenbaum xx, who established his
position through his sons Wiesengrund, Wittelsbach and Wirbelwind. At
the 1974 Hannoveraner Körung in Verden, Wiesengrund placed 3rd overall
out of 19 stallions.
One of the few Quidam de Revel mares in North
America for both sport and breeding!
