Palomino Anglo-Trakehner (ATA)
Incantator x Intent Two Bits x Tax Cut
Born April 15, 1992
16.0hh
(163cm)
Irissari has been used for several
disciplines including trail riding and hunter/jumper, but has been a
broodmare for most of her life. She surprises her riders though by
going beautifully under saddle after not being ridden for years (as in the
photo only 2 days after coming to our farm). Irissari has a solid
temperament, is very laid back and responds best to a rider that uses soft
hands.
Irissari comes from a long line of successful
Trakehner competitors and as a result, she is an ideal dressage
mount. Her grandsire, Preussengeist *E* (*E* = Elite),

registered offspring, a number of which became ATA Champions in their
respective disciplines. His sons, Kobor Kincsem and
Preussenwind,
were the 1990 USDF All-Breeds Champion for Prix St. Georges and the 1982
ATA Champion for
Fourth Level dressage respectively.
Her
granddam,
Indra V, produced 11 registered
ATA foals that also made their mark in
the dressage ring. Her
daughter, Imanda, was the 1999 USDF All-Breeds champion for Prix St. Georges and the ATA Reserve Champion in
dressage.
Her great grandsire,
Donauwind *E*, stood in both West Germany and Denmark prior to being imported into the U.S in 1982, and was described by the German Trakehner Stallion Book as “Very high quality, with very good breed and stallion type; good, proudly carried neck, clean overall impression; very well-balanced and harmonious in all parts of his body; quite strong and correct in his foundation; good mover. His get have pleasant dispositions and are easy to ride.”
Donauwind's son, Abdullah, was a member of the 1984 US Gold Medal Olympic Team in
show jumping and received a Silver Medal in the Individual competition as well.
He was the USET Open Jumper Champion, ATA Open Jumper Champion, placed second in the $150,000 Culpepper Grand Prix and was champion of the World Cup Finals in 1985. He also received a
Gold Medal in Team show jumping and Silver Medal in the Individual competition at the 1986 World Championships.
Another Donauwind son, Austin, was reserve champion of the 1996 USDF All-Breeds competition in both Prix St. Georges and
Fourth Level dressage.
Irissari also traces back to some world-famous and Hall of Fame Thoroughbreds including Mahmoud, Mah Mahal, Phalaris, Blenheim x 3, and Man 'O War x
2. Her great grand dam, Lucky Two Bits, is none other than the dam
of the very famous palomino Grand Prix dressage Thoroughbred stallion, Glitter
Please.
Irissari has produced a number of foals: a daughter of hers was a futurity champion in Texas. Irissari
has a superb athletic heritage and is a proven producer of outstanding foals.
She is a super easy keeper, requires very little feed to maintain her excellent condition and has great feet (shown above unshod).
